Our Mission

Providing outreach services to individuals and families, referring and seeking needed resources, and linking them to those resources. To provide
quality direct care (hands-on) services in the home of individuals who are disabled and/or unable to care for themselves.

Our Agency

Shaylee Cares, Inc., was established October 1, 2001 to service the needs of individuals and families in the community. Our founder, La Verne Riley, cared for her disabled father and older sister in their home, and experienced a great need for assistance to ensure that they remained in the home and community they loved. A graduate of Texas Southern University, School of Social Works, she understand the importance of maintaining the family structure. This agency was built on the philosophy of "love and devotion for the disabled". We feel that everyone deserves the best possible care, and should be able to live and function in their own homes and community, no matter what. We will assist individuals and families with acquiring the information they need to maintain as normal of a life as possible. We will also assist the individual and families with all areas of daily living both in and out of the home.
